The American Heart Association recommends bison meat as a healthy lean red meat. (Bison is listed as buffalo on the AHA website.) As if that isn’t the best endorsement ever there are also several other diet plans trending as we ring in the new year that suggest eating lean meats that are high in protein. Grass-fed bison that is also grass-finished is the perfect meat to fit the bill. You can’t beat the nutritional statistics of bison meat.
