SELAH PRESS RELEASES NEW BOOK, PUFFY & BLUE, FEBRUARY 26, 2015
Kayla Fioravanti’s New Book Chronicles Nine Lives over Twenty-One Years Growing Up on Three Continents
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 26, 2015) — Selah Press announces the February 26 release of Puffy & Blue: The Chronicles of Nine Lives Together, an uplifting true story of the deep friendship between a cat and her girl. Their inspiring companionship overcomes the upheaval of growing up in three countries. Their adventure brings laughter and tears mixed generously with hope and loyalty.
Fioravanti was raised with a nomadic lifestyle as her family was transferred every few years working for AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Service). The only consistent parts of her life were her family and her pets, especially Puffy.
“Puffy and I travelled the world together. We lived in Tachikawa, Japan; San Mateo, California; Desoto, Texas; Munich, Germany; Duncanville, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Nieder Roden, Germany and finally Portland, Oregon together,” Fioravanti says. “My entire childhood was encapsulated by the years of her life.”
Readers will agree that nine lives are never enough to spend with a four-legged best friend. Puffy has nine lives, as she survives signifcant trauma eight times in twenty-one years. Fioravanti is the character “Blue,” a nickname she picked up because of her rebellious blue eye shadow, blue eyeliner, blue mascara and bright blue boots.
Puffy & Blue is purr-fect for fans of Dewey: The Small Town Cat Who Touched the World, Homer’s Odyssey: A Fearless Feline Tale, A Street Cat Named Bob: And How He Saved My Life and Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World’s Worst Dog.
Puffy & Blue: The Chronicles of Nine Lives Together will be available online through major retailers including Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com in paperback and on Kindle.
What Readers Are Saying about Puffy & Blue:
“Fioravanti’s stories of incredible devotion between a girl and a black-ball-of-fur kitten named Puffy, had me laughing and crying through every chapter. I never thought a cat was capable of following her beloved person to school, or of raising a young girl while teaching her important life lessons, but Fioravanti’s Puffy and Blue proved me wrong on both counts. The stories are deeply touching.” Debbie Richards
“Kayla Fioravanti has woven a beautiful book of inspiring stories with — of all things — a cat at the center. You will be encouraged, and you may even find yourself heading to the closest cat rescue foundation in search of your very own Puffy. Well done, Kayla!” Donna Maria Coles Johnson
“Kayla Fioravanti’s book is a timeless classic about a girl and her cat; traveling the world and most US states as they grow up together pushing through fear, uncertainty, cancer and more life lessons that will lighten your heart and brighten your spirit.” Shila Laing
“Kayla shows us how love between lifetime friends has no boundaries or zip codes in this endearing and poignant book of remembrance.” Ginger Moore
“The sweetest insight into how our beloved pets influence our life.” Rose Confer
