I was recently sent a proposed blog post, and while I generally say no, I found this one amusing. Who didn’t sit in a Bingo game at one point in their life and get caught up in the fun of it? This version of bingo pokes fun at the highs and lows of motherhood. It is good to know we aren’t alone in this crazy amazing exhilarating journey.
Being a mother is one of life’s big dichotomies (or is it paradoxes?). It’s fulfilling, it’s exhausting, it’s you grieving for the death of your pre-motherhood life while desperately hoping to stretch out the dwindling number of years you can spend with your little bundles of joy.
Motherhood is a doozy, alright, but chances are you wouldn’t trade it for anything else. To make the downtimes and the quiet moments — too few and far between these days — a bit more fun, check out motherhood bingo!
Motherhood bingo is exactly what it says — a bingo game where the common (and some uncommon) trappings of motherhood replace the numbers. Here’s a sample of a bingo card from Scary Mommy.
The card above focuses on the more aggravating experiences of a mom. But you can turn things around and laugh about these common MOM’s little mistakes with Sweet T Makes Three bingo card.
The motherhood bingo cards above are just two of the many you can find online, thanks mainly to bingo soaring in popularity these past few years.
The offline bingo industry may be in the dumps, but the online side of the game continues to soar. After all, why play at a dreary bingo hall when you can use cutting-edge technology and play with live bingo callers from the comfort of your living room in your PJ’s?
I’m particularly fond of the idea of making your own bingo card! Thanks to the bingo boom, there are now a lot of free bingo card creators online. I made this one based off my blog post What to Expect in Reality.
You can make and print your own bingo cards in minutes. You can even make something that the whole family, kids included, can enjoy.
