The Franklin Farmer’s Market held the 2nd Annual Local Farmers Chili Cook-Off on March 25, 2017 and we won for the second year in a row. Customers came from all over Middle Tennessee to Taste, Vote and Enjoy Chili prepared with meats from local farms. The Franklin Farmers market customers voted Red Cedar Bison the best tasting chili of the first Local Farmers Chili Cook-Off.

Our customers asked for the recipes for the sauces we served on the side.
Cilantro Lime Sauce
16 oz Sour Cream
1 bunch Cilantro
1 packet True Lime
Dash of Salt
1. Removed leaves from stem of cilantro.
2. Food Process cilantro with 1-2 tbsp. of sour cream.
3. Mix into the the rest of the sour cream. Add a dash of salt.
Fire Roasted Habanero Sauce
1 Fire Roasted Habanero
16 oz Sour Cream
Dash of Salt
1. Fire roast habanero on grill.
2. Removed stem and seeds from roasted habanero.
2. Food Process habaneros with 1-2 tbsp. of sour cream.
3. Mix into the the rest of the sour cream. Add a dash of salt.
Fire Roasted Garlic Sauce
1 Head Fire Roasted Garlic
16 oz Sour Cream
Dash of Salt & Pepper
1. Fire roast head of garlic on grill or bake it in the oven.
2. Remove husk.
2. Food Process roasted cloves with 1-2 tbsp. of sour cream.
3. Mix into the the rest of the sour cream. Add a dash of salt and pepper.
