Selah Press Offerings Expanding

It has been an exciting season of growth for my company publishing Selah Press. My dear friend and mentor Donna Maria of Indie Business suggested that I start teaching classes to author-preneurs. I took her advice and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve called the series Author-preneur Training. For the summer I am mostly teaching pop-up classes.

The live teleseminars have the added benefit of a question and answer session plus access to a private Facebook page. But if you can’t make a session or you missed one you’d really like to catch I make the recordings available for sale. (Minus the Q&A session though.)

Readers have different expectations, behaviors and attention spans when they are online. During the 4 weeks you will be held accountable to follow through the steps necessary to get started on your writing dream. This class is for the dreamer who has always said, “I’m going to write a book someday.” Now is the time to get that ball rolling, start the steps, and learn the basics of self-publishing.

4 Week Walk Through Self-Publishing – September Session $87.00

September 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd.

Phone sessions are held Thursday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern Time

This course is for those who want a step by step walk through the self-publishing process using CreateSpace. It will be most useful to those who have already written their book, gone through editing, and are ready to self-publish their book, but is open to anyone in any stage of the process. We will walk through formatting for CreateSpace during the 4 weeks. You will assigned significant homework. We will troubleshoot and work through issues as they come up as a group.

4 Week Walk Through Kindle Publishing – October Session $87.00

October 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th.

Phone sessions are held Thursday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern Time

This course is for those who want a step by step walk through the self-publishing process using Kindle Direct Publishing. It will be most useful to those who have already written their book, gone through editing, and are ready to self-publish their book, but is open to anyone in any stage of the process. We will walk through formatting for Kindle Direct Publishing during the 4 weeks. You will assigned significant homework. We will troubleshoot and work through issues as they come up as a group.

An Overview of Author Marketing Opportunities, was taught as an one-hour pop-up class. It is now available as an audio recording. This session is jam-packed with helpful information about special marketing avenues available specifically to authors to promote their books. This class will be helpful to authors, whether you have already published a book or are on the road to publication.

Selah Press Author-preneur Training for An Overview of the Editing Process, was taught one-hour pop-up class. This session is jam-packed with helpful information about what to expect in the all-important book editing process. The information will help break down the steps of editing and to set your mind at ease. Learn from Loral Pepoon and Kayla Fioravanti, as they share knowledge garnered from more than 50 combined years of experience in editing and publishing.

Loral Pepoon has served as a managing editor, creative director, marketing manager and writer in large, well-known universities, financial service corporations and ministries, including a well-known Christian book publisher, for nearly 20 years. Loral holds a Master of Journalism/Advertising from the University of Kansas. Since founding Cowriter Pro in 2015, Loral has collaborated with several self-published Christian authors and visionaries to craft, chisel, transform and birth 14 books.

Kayla Fioravanti has published 8 books of her own while working with a variety of editors. She was the managing editor for 360 Degrees of Grief: Reflections of Hope. Kayla has a long history of working with editors as a writer and working with writers as an editor. She has been writing for publication for over 30 years and helped birth 26 books in the past 2 years.

Creating Content for Authors & Entrepreneurs – Audio Recording $7.00

Creating Content for Authors & Entrepreneurs with Christine Laureano and Kayla Fioravanti was taught as a 1 hour pop-up class. Now it is available as an audio recording. Writing content is about taking your reader on a journey. When you’re creating content for your blog, email, or other medium to use for your business, you’re not just talking (writing) to a reader, you’re talking (writing) to a potential partner (your ideal customers.)
