This painting Pink Tulips with from a photograph my mom took in the Skagit Tulip Festival. I always loved this painting. For at least the last year of my mom’s life it hung in her kitchen. I always loved it. I recently inherited it from my dad and it hangs in my home.
One of the reasons I loved this painting so much is that it reminded me of a painting my mother sold to a German Art Gallery in the 1970’s. It had a German woman working in a field with green hues. It reminded me how life comes full circle sometimes. The colors had changed, but my mom was still inspired by a sole woman working in the fields forty years later.
