Come join me for “How To Self-Publish A Book That Solidifies Your Platform and Helps You and Your Business Grow” on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 8-9pm ET for an INDIE Protégé Network call on Self Publishing. If you are not a member of Indie Business you can still join this call by registering at this link.
I recently did a Q&A with Donna Maria to learn more about Donna Maria’s Protégé Network and Success Calls.
Kayla: Who can take part in your success calls?
dM: My Success Calls are open to all members of the Indie Beauty Network, as well as to our entry-level tier of members, the Indie Protégé Network.
Kayla: What is the purpose of your success calls?
dM: The purpose of our Success Calls is to provide members with an ongoing flow of information to help them remain motivated and positive, and to help them make more money selling the products they make.
Entrepreneurship can be such a lonely road. After 12 years in business, I have found it helpful for me and for my members to remain connected and encouraged by a steady diet of information and action steps that propel us forward together. Note: I didn’t just say, “Information.” I said “Action Steps.” This is critical. There’s enough information available today. What’s not as readily available is a support team that can help you stay on top of things and that will hold you accountable for the actions you need to take in order to generate a consistent profit in your business.
Each Success Call comes with an MP3 download, an Action Worksheet (to put what we learn to work right away), and a transcript, which I encourage members to print out and save to their Success Notebooks so they can easily reference it throughout their lives. The resources are also easy to save digitally to programs like Evernote and personal mobile devices.
Success Calls occur twice monthly, at a minimum. Either I or a I and a special hand-picked guest (like Kayla!) who is expert in a field meet with members via phone to learn something specific that can help our businesses grow. Call have included things like easy blog formats, how to take good product photos, business planning action steps, how to use Twitter effectively and efficiently, how to participate in a MasterMind group, and more!
Since authorship is such a powerful way to strengthen your platform and attract more customers, no matter what you sell, Kayla Fioravanti is a most valuable guest. Since she’s self-published three books and is an expert in her field, she’s the perfect person to share how authorship can help a business, and how to go about approaching becoming an author without wasting time or spinning wheels aimlessly. Everyone can learn so much from her — we are really looking forward to this and are so grateful to Kayla for taking time away from her busy schedule to share her expertise and experiences.
