Have you joined the Instant Pot craze? Or are you wondering why in the world your friends are suddenly raving about all the things they made in their brand new Instant Pot? Still wondering what it is? Well, basically, if a crock pot and a pressure cooker had a baby, it would be the Instant Pot. Everyone and their mother seem to have purchased an Instant Pot on Black Friday from Amazon. If you were late to the party you can still get one on Amazon. From the pressure cooker community it seems that the Instant Pot brand is the way to go and there are several different variations with different degrees of bells and whistle and price tags from $79 and $99 to $179.00, pop over and check them out.
There isn’t much information on pressure cooking in general for bison meat, let alone cooking it with an Instant Pot, so we are on a mission to fill that gap out for all of you who are trying to eat lean healthy bison meat for your health, heart, Paleo, Whole 30, or you just plain like cooking with bison over other meats.
Over time we will grow our Instant Pot recipes, but we are started with Bison Back Ribs because those normally take hours to prefect. We made perfect fall off the bone Bison Back Ribs in only 30 minutes using the Instant Pot.
If you don’t have an Instant Pot, consider getting one. It will change your life! Not only does an Instant Pot make cooking easier and faster, it increases the flavor and preserves the precious nutritional value of your foods. If you have a regular pressure cooker you can follow the same recipes, just be sure to set your timer the old fashioned way.
