I read a blog post today by Dayna Martin called, “I’m THAT Mom.”
One of my favorite quotes from the blog post was when Dayna wrote, “I’m that Mom who makes mistakes sometimes, but I am not afraid to apologize to my kids. I know in doing so, they will learn that making mistakes is part of learning and growing. They know I am perfectly imperfect.”
Isn’t that the truth right there!? We are all perfectly imperfect. It is worth repeating. I am perfectly imperfect. You are perfectly imperfect. Stop beating yourself up for not being perfect – you were never designed to be perfect.
I just know someone other than me needed to be reminded of that today.
Now go conquer the world one tiny task at a time wearing the most important accessory of all – a smile – because you don’t have to try to be perfect anymore.
